COMMUNITY RESOURCE HUB REBRAND

Location: Philadelphia, USA
Role: Brand & Product Designer @ Persist
Team: 1 CD, 1 PM, 1 Dev
Timeline: March-June 2024

The Brief

The Community Resource Hub for Safety and Accountability (CRH) is an organization that works to ensure that all people have the tools to transform the systems that have deemed policing necessary. In 2024, the nonprofit decided that they wanted to evolve their brand identity in order to more effectively communicate their mission while creating more buzz, and brand recognition.

Challenges

Although The Community Resource Hub is widely known and recognized among organizers, most people colloquially refer to it as The Hub. This highlighted the potential need for a name change.

In addition, the brand lacked the level of sophistication needed to position the organization as a leader in the movement space.

Objectives

  • Create a more polished brand identity

  • Refine the brand color palette, moving away from vibrant pastels

  • Ensure that the visual language captures the energy that reverberates through movement work

  • Utilize the brand identity to develop a new website

The Community Resource Hub is more widely known by the name ‘The Hub’, therefore we collectively decided to utilize this name for the primary logo, shifting away from using the acronym CRH.

Outcomes

A revitalized brand identity with a cohesive visual landscape that positions The Hub as a respected organization and resource.
